2017 Dubai Tennis Championship
The first round has been completed and the biggest upset was the fact that the defending champion Stan Wawrinka lost out to Damir Dzumhur. That means that the bottom half of the draw are open at the moment. Tomas Berdych have a great opportunity to reach the final once again.
The top half is more interesting though with both Andy Murray and seven-time champion Roger Federer. They will most likely meet in the semifinals and I think Murray will edge the Swiss this time. Unibet has Andy Murray at 2.40 to win the tournament and that is worth 2.5 units.
2017 Abierto Mexicano Telcel
In Acapulco, we find a very lopsided draw. The two big favorites for the tournaments are number 1 seed and number 2, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Nadal has been handed a great draw and should be able to reach the final here with the inspired form he has shown lately. Djokovic meets, in my opinion, his biggest challenge already in the second round in Juan Martin del Potro. If he wins that match I believe he will go on to win the whole tournament. He could meet the defending champion Dominic Thiem in the quarterfinals, but Thiem has played a lot lately and a well-rested Novak should handle that. In a final against Nadal, I think the Spaniard will buckle under mentally against Djokovic who have won 11 of their 12 last matches. We will play Djokovic to win the tournament at 2.38 for 2.5 units.
The WTA circus is also in Acapulco this week and the draw there is wide open. The extremely unstable Monica Puig is the bookies favorite at around 4.00, but we will take a chance on good old Kirsten Flipkens. She has a decent draw and if she can produce some of her best tennis she should be able to challenge for the title. She has been able to reach finals on hardcourts in Mexico previously. We will take Unibets odds of 34.00 for 0.5 unit.
2017 Malaysian Open
Kuala Lumpur offers a pretty weak draw, and when first seed Elina Svitolina had to withdraw, it is wide open. We will place a bet on Shuai Peng at Betfred. They offer us 7.50 for the Chinese and for that we will place a unit. She has several decent results at tournaments in Asia and just reached the final in Taiwan recently where she lost to Svitolina.
Andy Murray to win Dubai at 2.40 for 2.5 units.
Novak Djokovic to win Acapulco at 2.38 for 2.5 units.
Kirsten Flipkens to win Acapulco at 34.00 for 0.5 unit.
Shuai Peng to win Kuala Lumpur at 7.50 for 1 unit.
